BRICS Chamber of Commerce and Industry together with the Russian Centre of Science & Culture and Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs (IICA) organised BRICS International Youth Forum from 28th to 30th January, 2015 at the Russian Cultural Centre, New Delhi.
Formation of BRICS International Forum is a concept to interact with all the youth of BRICS Nations. It provides a platform to all delegates to interact with each other, act as a linkage between policy makers, government representatives, social organisations, export import promotion councils, trade and investment organisations, diplomats, bureaucrats, media and academicians. Insights on how to do business in India, the kind of technology and resources to be used to increase the output and the possible benefits while expanding the business in India.

Two sessions of Panel discussion was conducted. The Chief Guest of the event was Mr. Sarbananda Sonowal, Honorable Minister of State (Independent Charge), Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Government of India, New Delhi, moderated by Mrs. Purnima Anand, President, International Federation of Indo Russian Youth Clubs, India. Welcome address was presented by Mr. Fedor A. Rozovskiy, Counsellor and Head of the Cultural Department of the Embassy of the Russian Federation in India, Director of the Russian Centre of Science & Culture in New Delhi, Federal Agency of ROSSOTRUDNICHESTVO in India). The keynote speaker was Ms. Tatiana Seliverstova, Head of the International Department, Russian Union of Youth, Russia.
Panel Theme: UNDERSTANDING THE BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES IN INDIA
The panellist included Mr. Dushyant Thakore (GM, Invest India & FICCI), Ms Jyoti Srivastava (Honorary Advisor, BRICS CCI), Mr. Rajesh Batra (Head SME’S, IICA) focussed on Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises and Dr. BB.L Madhukar(Secretary General, BRICS CCI) focussed on India-Russia relations. Also, speech was presented by Ms. Meenakshi Lekhi, Member of Parliament, India; Mr. Sergei V. Karmalito, Senior Counsellor, Embassy of the Russian Federation in India, Mr. Vijay Chauthaiwale, Overseas Head of Foreign Relations, BJP; Mr. Yaroslav V. Tarasyuk, Trade Commissioner of the Russian Federation in India; Major Dalbir Singh, Secretary, All-India Congress Committee; Ms. Guilherme Fitzgibbeon Alves Pereira, Diplomat responsible for human rights and social affairs at the Embassy of Brazil in India; Dr. B.B.L. Madhukar, Secretary General, BRICS Chamber of Commerce & Industry, India.
Later, the meeting was addressed by the BRICS Leader Mr. Du Dong, Director of International Department, All China Youth Federation, China and Mr. Itiseng Kenneth Morolong, Executive Deputy Chairman, National Development Youth Agency of South Africa.
Two Plenary Sessions were conducted: One, Overview of BRICS Summit and the other on the future of Russian-Indian cooperation
within BRICS in continuation of the official visit to India of the President of the Russian Federation – Vladimir Putin
29th January OPPORTUNITIES IN SERVICE SECTORS-Health, Education & Tourism
Session was introduced and moderated by Dr. B.B.L. Madhukar, Secretary General, BRICS Chamber of Commerce & Industry, India. The discussion was carried forward by Mr. Teboho Meshack Sehloho, Assistant Director: Gauteng City Region Academy, Gauteng Provincial Government, South Africa, post which Dr. A.K. Mukherjee, Director General-Indian Spinal Injuries Centre and Dr. S.P. Puri, Former Professor- Vardhman Mahavir Medical College gave their insights on the Health Sector. Mr. Anil Agarwal, Governing Body Member, BRICS CCI Chartered Accountant and Advocate and Mr. Ashwani Taneja, ITT Member then talked about Finance and Taxation. Mr. Alexei Ezhov, CEO, Gipro-plast Engineering then threw light on Prospects for business development in the territories of BRICS. Education sector was then talked about by Mr. Rajesh Batra, Head Micro Small and Medium Enterprises at Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs (Ministry of Corporate Affairs). Mr. Andrey Andreev, Deputy Director, Institute of History and Law, Syktyvkar State University then talked about Formation of a unified educational environment for BRICS countries. Ms. Marina Lymar, Chinese Language Teacher, The Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation talked about Cooperation between Russia and China in the field of Education. Ms. Nikita Kolesnikov, Secretary Executive of NUBRICS coordination board gave insights on Network University BRICS – modern status and prospects. Mikhail Lenkov, Vice-rector, Ryazan State University talked about Academic Mobility effective practices within BRICS. Mr. Mikhail Lazarenko, Head, International office, Public relations department, Synergy University talked about Russian private education initiative – Presentation of the University of Synergy. Tourism Prospects in BRICS Countries was talked upon by Ms. Shivani & Ms. Natasha Shah, CEO-TLF Magazine & Editor.
Day 3: OPPORTUNITIES INVOLVED IN SMALL and MEDIUM ENTERPRISES
The day 3 event was an interactive meet in association with Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs (IICA) Manesar, for the delegates coming from BRICS countries to India. The meeting was inaugurated by The Secretary General, BRICS CCI, Dr. BBL Madhukar.
It gave a platform to young entrepreneurs and industrialist from BRICS countries to exchange their thoughts with professionals from the areas like Taxation, Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises, Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, Investment related questions (FDI benefits), Legal Procedures on how to do business in India etc.
